Pro Tip: Some times videos don't load properly. Refreshing the page fixes it.

Developing our Master's capstone project involved presenting it at different stages of its development cycle. I storyboarded and edited our trailers to highlight the features found to be the coolest at every stage of that development. Shown below is a video-by-video showcasing of not only the progress of the project but also how we were able to showcase it.

Showcasing Development

This first recording shows our earliest alpha, without music and with a lot of placeholder assets. It is meant to showcase the combat system we'd developed over the course of the first semester.

In March, I released a trailer leading up to GDC which showcased the progress we'd made over the winter, highlighting the improved visual effects, environments and music

By the end of the Master's, our vertical slice had mostly come together and I created our game's final trailer by playing into the strengths of our environment design, our music and using our cutscenes to further communicate the game's tone.

Personal Video Projects

My Youtube Channel

As an effort to contribute to the Spanish-speaking videogame community, I ran a Youtube channel for a few years as a hobby. I mostly did Let's Play videos but I wrote, recorded and edited a few hero videos for my channel that were more about story-telling, which I'm particularly proud of.

These are in Spanish but I've made English captions for them as well.

I also took to sharing shorter form content videos from live streams to showcase noteworthy moments, mostly from Rocket League streams. I tried editing in ways that people who are unfamiliar with the game or the stream should still be able to follow why particular events are noteworthy.

This last one has some narrating in Spanish at the start wishing folks a happy new year but is mostly gameplay footage

I'm a lifelong fan of Magic: The Gathering and as a means of trying my hand at socially-shareable short-form content decided to make a series of 5 videos showing what it feels like to play each color of mana.
